Description
The active substance: a microdose of iodine – affects protein and lipid metabolism. Topical application of iodine and iodine preparations slows the opacification of the lens and the reduction of visual acuity in early senile cataract.
Potassium iodide supports the metabolic and resorption processes in the eye in case of cataract (curtain) of different nature; the resorption of exudate during inflammatory processes and of blood from the vitreous body; in arteriosclerotic changes of vessels of the retina and uvea; in degenerative processes of the retina in myopia, cataracts in the initial stage, parenchymatous keratitis (corneal opacities).
